About This Game

Decrypt is Table Party's free, unofficial Decrypto-style team game. Each team receives four secret keywords numbered one through four. Every round, one Encryptor sees a three-number code and writes three clues in that order so their teammates can reconstruct it.

The opposing team hears every clue and can inspect the full public clue history. Starting in round two, they try to intercept the code before the clue-giver's own team answers. Two successful interceptions win the game. Two failures by a team to decode its own clues cause an immediate loss.

The Encryptor role rotates so everyone writes clues, and both teams play simultaneously. Games last no more than eight rounds, with interceptions and miscommunications breaking the final tie. Decrypt supports four to twelve players and runs in the browser with private team notes, room-code joining, no signup, and no ads.

How to Play

  1. Split into two teams

Each side receives four permanent secret keywords numbered one through four.

  2. Clue the secret code

The round's Encryptor sees a three-number sequence and writes one clue for each corresponding keyword.

  3. Decode your own clues

The Encryptor's teammates agree on the three-number code. A wrong answer adds a miscommunication token.

  4. Intercept the rivals

From round two, each team also guesses the opponent's code from the public clue history. Two interceptions win.
