Only One
A free Just One-style cooperative word game. Everyone writes one clue, duplicate clues disappear, and the guesser gets one chance to find the secret word.

About This Game
Only One is Table Party's free, unofficial Just One-style cooperative word game. One player becomes the guesser while everyone else sees the secret word and writes a single clue. Before the guesser returns, duplicate clues cancel each other out.
The group plays against a deck of thirteen cards. A correct guess keeps the current card as a point. Passing discards one card, while a wrong guess loses the current card and the next one from the deck. That makes restraint useful when the surviving clues do not point anywhere clearly.
Only One supports three to seven players and gives the whole table one final score. The game normalizes case, accents, spacing, and common endings when checking duplicate clues, so small spelling differences do not rescue the same idea. It runs in the browser with room-code joining, no signup, and no ads.
How to Play
Choose the guesser
One player sits out while every other player sees the same secret word.
Write one clue
Each clue-giver submits exactly one word without using part of the answer.
Remove duplicate clues
Matching or normalized versions of the same clue cancel before the guesser sees them.
Make one guess
The guesser reads the surviving clues and answers, passes, or risks losing an extra card with a wrong guess.
Tips & Strategy
- Skip the first clue you think of because other players probably found it too.
- Write for the current guesser rather than choosing a clue everyone would understand.
- Use an indirect association that remains clear but is less likely to collide.
- Pass when the surviving clues conflict. A wrong answer costs two cards instead of one.
