Among Us
Work together to complete tasks on a spaceship — unless you're the impostor. Among Us is the social deduction phenomenon that took over the world.

About This Game
Among Us became one of the biggest games of the 2020s, despite being released back in 2018. The premise is simple: a crew of astronauts works to complete tasks around a spaceship, but among them lurk impostors whose goal is to sabotage and eliminate crewmates. When a body is discovered or an emergency meeting is called, everyone debates who the impostor might be and votes to eject a suspect into space.
What made Among Us a cultural phenomenon is the social dynamics it creates. Crewmates must observe behavior, compare alibis, and make judgment calls based on incomplete information. Impostors must lie convincingly, create diversions, and cast suspicion on innocent players. The result is a game that generates dramatic accusations ("I saw Red vent!"), desperate defenses ("I was in electrical doing wires!"), and moments of pure betrayal that fuel hours of conversation afterward.
The game works on virtually every platform — PC, mobile, and consoles — with cross-platform play. It supports 4-15 players and is free on mobile with ads. The developers at Innersloth have continued updating it with new maps, roles (Shapeshifter, Guardian Angel), and cosmetic options. While the initial viral surge has calmed, Among Us remains one of the best social deduction games available and a go-to for game nights, streaming, and friend groups worldwide.
How to Play
Join or host a game
Create a private room with a code or join a public lobby. Customize settings like number of impostors, speed, and kill cooldown.
Receive your role
At the start, you are randomly assigned as either a Crewmate or an Impostor. Keep your role secret.
Complete tasks or eliminate crew
Crewmates complete mini-game tasks around the map. Impostors fake tasks while secretly eliminating crewmates.
Report and discuss
When a body is found or a meeting is called, everyone discusses who they suspect and where they have been.
Vote to eject
Players vote on who to eject. If the impostors are eliminated, crew wins. If impostors equal or outnumber crew, impostors win.
Tips & Strategy
- As a crewmate, always note where other players are and what tasks they claim to be doing.
- As an impostor, complete fake tasks by standing near task locations for the right amount of time.
- Use the buddy system — traveling in pairs makes it harder for impostors to get kills.
- Do not accuse without evidence. Baseless accusations make you look suspicious.
- Learn the map layouts so you can identify impossible alibis.
