Survival Trivia
A free browser trivia game where one wrong answer knocks you out. Questions get harder; the longest streak survives. Join by room code, play on any device.

About This Game
Survival Trivia is a free browser party game built around a single, nerve-wracking rule: get a question wrong and you're out. Each question is multiple choice with one correct answer hidden among the decoys, and the questions keep coming and keep getting harder. There's no second chance and no points to fall back on — you simply ride your streak as far as it will go.
That elimination format is what makes it tense in a good way. Early questions feel easy, the group relaxes, and then the difficulty creeps up until someone confidently picks the wrong option and drops out. The last player standing — or whoever rode the longest streak — takes the win, so even after you're eliminated there's plenty to watch as the survivors sweat through harder and harder rounds.
It scales from a solo run chasing your own best streak all the way up to a hundred players in one room, which makes it an easy pick for a quick warm-up or a full group session. Everything runs in the browser with no download or account, so anyone can hop in from a phone, tablet, or laptop the moment they have the room code.
How to Play
Open a room and share the code
One person starts a game in the browser, which generates a room code. Send that code to everyone you want to play with — no downloads or accounts required.
Players join from any device
Each player enters the room code on their phone, tablet, or laptop. A single room holds anywhere from 1 to 100 players, so it works for a quick duel or a packed group.
Answer each multiple-choice question
A question appears with one correct option among several decoys. Pick the answer you believe is right before moving on to the next one.
Survive the streak — one miss ends your run
Every correct answer extends your streak and sends you to the next, slightly harder question. A single wrong answer eliminates you on the spot, so there's no recovering once you slip.
Watch the reveal and crown the survivor
After each answer the correct option is shown, thinning the field as players get knocked out. The last player standing — or whoever held the longest streak — wins.
Tips & Strategy
- Slow down on the easy-looking questions early on — overconfidence is what eliminates most players before the difficulty even ramps up.
- When you're unsure, rule out the obvious decoys first; narrowing four options to two dramatically improves your survival odds.
- Treat your streak as the real score. Even if you go out early, knowing your number gives everyone something to beat on the next run.
- Run a quick solo round before a group game so you get a feel for how fast the questions get harder.
- Keep eliminated players engaged by having them call the action — spectating the final survivors sweat it out is half the fun.
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Dead-simple to learn — multiple choice with one rule, so new players are up to speed instantly
- Built-in tension as difficulty climbs and players get knocked out one by one
- Scales from a solo streak-chase to a 100-player room, fitting almost any group size
- Completely free and browser-based, with join-by-code access on any device
Cons
- The elimination format is most fun with three or more people; a solo run is more of a high-score chase than a party
- Knocked-out players become spectators, so an early miss can mean sitting out the rest of the round
- Replay value leans on the question pool — once answers feel familiar, the challenge softens
