Setting up the room
Get everyone on the same version
Trivia Crack and Trivia Crack 2 are separate games with separate friend lists. Agree on one before anyone starts adding friends, or half the group ends up unable to challenge the other half.
Swap usernames, then challenge directly
Add every player by username up front. Challenging a named friend is the only way to control who plays whom — the matchmaking button pairs you with strangers and will quietly break your bracket.
Seed the bracket and post it where everyone can see it
Pair players off and pin the bracket in your group chat. With 8 players that is 3 rounds: 4 matches, then 2, then a final. Because matches are asynchronous, both semi-finals can run at the same time.
Set a shot clock so the bracket actually finishes
The game lets a turn sit for days. Agree on a window — "take your turn within 5 minutes or you forfeit" — otherwise one slow player stalls the whole night while everyone else waits.
Give the losers something to do
Knocked-out players are the reason trivia brackets die. Hand the question packs below to whoever is out and let them run a side round on the call, so nobody is watching two other people play on their phones.
