Aux Battles
Aux Battles is a free browser music battle game where friends submit Spotify, YouTube, or SoundCloud picks and vote blind.
Pros
- Free browser rooms with no download for standard friend play
- Spotify, YouTube, and SoundCloud search gives groups flexible song sources
- Blind voting makes the reveal social instead of just speed-based
- Twitch Battles add a streamer/community mode beyond private rooms
Cons
- Music-source playback and availability can vary by track, region, and service
- The game works best with people who enjoy music taste debates
- Remote groups still need their own voice or video call for conversation
- Twitch modes may require extra host setup compared with a private room
Music Quizly
Music Quizly is a free browser music quiz with typed-answer multiplayer rooms, a Quiz Master host mode, and a 0.1-second Microguesser mode. Free rooms run ads.
Pros
- Free regular rooms need no account to host or join
- Typed artist/title answers reward real recall instead of rewarding a lucky multiple-choice guess
- Quiz Master and Microguesser add real format variety beyond one default mode
- Six-character room codes make joining from a phone quick for a group
Cons
- Free regular rooms carry advertising; an ad-free experience is only available through the separate paid Events product
- The publisher's 1-to-1,000 player claim is not independently load-tested. Treat it as an upper bound, not a guarantee at scale
- Playlists are curated and Deezer-linked today, with no guarantee every Spotify playlist or track will play
- Typed-answer rounds require more recall than multiple-choice quizzes
